An Adieu to the Summer!!!

 Dress: S.oliver
Knot Shirt: Splash
Hat: Flea Market, Goa
Watch: DKNY
Bag: Westside
Shoes: A DIY on a Shoe from Footin

I just realized that I had not dedicated any post to the summer of 2013. The monsoon is catching up and this was my last chance for a summer post. A floral farewell seemed the best at the moment.

The word Summer always reminds me of sundresses, shorts, sunglasses, sunscreens and hats. Well i decided to pick a dress for this summer post. This dress has been hanging out in my closet for a very long time. Since it is a plain brown one, I could combine any other pattern with this dress. My knotted floral short shirt went pretty well with that. That's the good thing about the uni colored dresses. You can combine it with any accessories or any other design patterns. I kept the hat in my mind and decided the entire outfit over it. For the shoes, they were picked up from Footin and over that i decided to create a lace bow. I kept it simple on the accessories, since there was already a hat involved. Well that goes as my summer outfit story!

So tell me what's your favorite summer wear.

Back With Hearts

Shirt: Annabelle
Leggings: Chemistry
Neck Piece: Addons
Ring: sammydress.com
Bag: Kiara

Well what can i say, i am sucker for heart prints. This is most comfortable outfit that i have had in my blog until now. Leggings from Chemistry are damn comfortable and just can wear them day in and out. Gold accessories have been my latest obsession. They somehow seem to be filling my wardrobe each day. This shirt is something that can be worn casually or formalize it with a good pair of trousers and wear it to work too.

This goes as a simple combo that you can wear out for an entire day, may it be a movie or a shopping spree.

Monochromed with a Red Twist!!

Top: sammydress.com
Skirt: Max Fashion
Clutch: Atmosphere
Shoes: DIY/Self Designed
Accessories: sammydress.com/Goa flea Market
On My Nails: Revlon -

White & Black always reminds me of a classic look. This post is a small attempt to get that classiness. And now that I think of it, I seem to have quite a lot of monochromed outfits in my wardrobe. It was quite a match the following that needed to be done with my clothes to get this look.
Red lips is another main ingredient for the classic look. So I thought what better then to combine red lips with red nails and a red clutch.

So here goes my monochromed look!!

Aztec Inspired!!

Dress: Warehouse(picked from Raheja Arcade, Bangalore)
 Bag: From Westside
Flat Sandals: Picked from a shop in Mangalore
Accessories: Street Buy from Jayanagar, Bangalore

There is always something about wearing an Aztec print, gives more of a tribal feeling. Dress was picked up from Raheja arcade on Brigade road. Well this dress makes a good outfit for your casual day out or for a simple Sunday brunch. When it comes to Aztec prints, you get a lot to pick from the sort of accessories you want to wear!!! Can wear a single colored accessory or can mix up many colors for your accessories, the way I did above. I choose  to wear flats to give it more of a casual look.

Hope you liked the look!!

The Pink Hearts!!!

Top - Zara
Pink Pant - Benetton
Bag - Almost a vintage which I self inherited from my Mom ;)
Shoes - Marks & Spencer
Neck Piece - Street Buy from Jayanagar, Bangalore
Watch  - DKNY
Sunglasses - Zara

As most of the ladies out here would say it - PINK is my favorite color!!! May it be on the lips, for the accessories/clothes or the shoes, name it and I would say need it in pink too. Well for the top, I simply had to pick it up for all the pink hearts out on it. And the pink pants were a pick from last Spring/Summer 12, but still hasn't lost its charm on me. Combing anything with pink pants is quite a challenge, you either need to contrast the color out or mellow it down. As for the accessories I always had a thing for the color gold against pink.

I am sure you will be seeing lot more pink color in my blog!!

Golden Blues

Sequin Top - Self Designed
Skirt - Allen Solly
Neck Piece / Bangels / Ring - From a street shop in Jayanagar
Sandals - From a local shop in Mangalore
Clutch - From Sunday Soul Sante
Watch - DKNY

I always wanted to own a gold sequin top. But somehow never found  the right one. That is when I decided to start hitting all the cloth stores in commercial street. Finally after a very massive cloth hunt, found the perfect sequin material. And here is the final result of all that cloth hunt.
Gold is that one color which can take most of the colors as its contrast and yet look totally elegant.  I kept wondering about all the colors that could be mixed with my gold sequin top, and somehow blue kept popping in and out of my mind.

So up there goes an effort of mixing royal blue with an ever royal gold.

Black & White Classics

This post is a dedication to all those classic clothes of  the 40's and 50's.

Loving the shoes and the entire outfit combination in black& white.

Somehow the skirts in this era are all below the knee length and have a beautiful classic sense surronding them

The sunglasses and the swimsuit!! Just Amazing!!

The hat, outfit and the touch of hand gloves. So very classic.

Loving the hem of the dress above. So feminine!!

The style in late 40's and 50's seems to have mainly focused on the hats, shoes and the gloves!! They form a image of a very dreamy yesteryear. A lot of inspiration to be taken from these era's where mainly the Paris Fashion houses reopened post world war 2. Interested to know more on this, there is always the wiki.

Playing with Pastel!!

White Top: Vero Moda
3/4 Pants: Petite Sophisticate
Blazer: Bloomingdales
Bag: Atmosphere
Accessories: Can't Recall
Neck Piece: Self Made

I have seen it raining pastels this season, and was pretty much waiting to wear them. Well whats not to love about pastels, the color just seem to soothe your senses. The green pants having been sort of sitting in my cupboard forever. So thought it was the right time to remove it. And the white top, i just love it. Seems to blend in with any of my jeans/skirts/trousers. Somehow the entire idea of mixing pastels with pearls fascinates me. Another thought that struck me was to try n blend two pastel colors together, and what not better then pink and green. VIOLA the result is above.

Put together your two favorite pastel colors and let me how it goes :) ....

White Out!!!

Shirt: Max Fashion
Shorts: Marks & Spencer
Accessories: Flea market
Belt: Vero Moda
Shoes: Street Shop

The heat already is out in the city and white seems to be a good escape!
And again when the talk is about white, you can indulge yourself in any colorful accessory or shoes/bag. That's the best of wearing white , there is no way you can wrong with anything. And about the orange shoes - what do i say. I saw them, fell in love in a second and billed it in another second. But then i really dint know where and how use them. Well now I kinda try to contrast it out with my clothes. And finally about the accessories, white clothes + gold accessories is always a safe bet.

White + Leopard Print + Gold
Makes you feel like a Cleopatra !!!
